Terms

 

 

•  Registration: The first month's fee is due with registration to lock in your child's space.
   

• Payment Due Date: Payment is due each month on the 1st.  We will send out an invoice approximately 5 days prior to the due date.
   

• Calendar:   We take all school holidays off, including Thanksgiving, Christmas and Spring Breaks.  This does not change the monthly amount due and is taken into account with the fee that we charge and also allows us to have the unusual policy of “no contracts,”  which is not a common practice.  We do ask for a 30 day notice, if your child will be withdrawing from classes.
   

• Communication:  In this class, we will communicate primarily via email, so please make sure we have the best email address for you and any additional email addresses that we might need.

• Uniform:  A uniform is required when signing up.  The cost is $39.99.  We are running a special right now for early registration.  You have registered, so you would qualify.  You may order a uniform now for $20.  We will send you an invoice, which you may pay online.  Just email us with the color that you would like.  We offer white, black, blue and pink.  It takes about a month for the uniforms to come in, so until they do, the kids just wear comfortable gym/play clothes.
   

• Testing:  Testing usually takes place every 3 months until the student gets to Blue Belt status, then the periods between testing will be longer, since the material becomes more intensive.   Testing timelines vary according to individual student dedication and attendance.  The fee for testing varies, but for the first 3 belts it is a fee of $25/per test at the time of testing. 
   

• Attendance:  Attendance is extremely important and is the only way to progress through the system in a timely manner. 
   

• UKC Assistance: If throughout the year, your student is experiencing any difficulties in class, at home, in school, with peers, please feel free to share with us.  We will do anything in our capacity to assist you in helping your child get past the issue.  
   

• Media Use:  UKC takes lots of photos and video.  You agree to allow UKC to use photographs and video taken of  your child (for educational and marketing purposes)  
   

• Liability Waiver:  UKC is an active facility with normal risks associated with martial arts, exercise and all activities that children engage in which can result in injury.  You must agree to the UKC Waiver and Release of Liability that is part of the registration contract.
   

• Class Cancellation:  UKC will notify you if class is canceled for any reason via email or the UKC App.
  
  Termination of Services:  If you wish to terminate services you must notify UKC in writing 30 days before the last day of services.
